Your 14-day right to change your mind

These instructions are the statutory disclosure required by Annex I (A) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive), as transposed into Dutch law in BW art. 6:230o.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier indicated by you, acquires physical possession of the goods. Where your order is delivered in multiple consignments, the period starts the day you receive the last piece.

How to exercise the right

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (TEI Ceramics, KvK 98959964, returns@teiceramics.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email).

The simplest way is to use our digital withdrawal form — it satisfies the new EU 2023/2673 "withdrawal button" requirement and takes about a minute:

You may also use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the right of withdrawal before the 14-day period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least-expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will carry out the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement.

We may withhold the reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent the goods back, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the 14-day period has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. An exception applies if the goods were damaged on arrival or do not match the listing — in those cases we cover the return.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions

The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (Directive 2011/83/EU art. 16(c)). All current pieces in the shop are eligible — if a future commission is exempt, we'll tell you before you order.
